App users will have three levels of function.

Private

Private users can create, edit and run races, with all of the information stored on the device. GPS is required but a data connection is not required. Results are visible only to the user, nothing is stored in the cloud. This level is free.

Active Racer

This is expected to be the most popular category. Users can create, edit, and post races to the cloud as ANYTIME RACES. They can enter races created by other Active Racers, and results will be posted on a leaderboard.  They can also enter Club Races (A PHRF rating is required) where there is a fixed start date and time. Clubs may charge an entrance fee.

There is an annual subscription fee for this level. User registers his boat with a username and password.

 

Club Admin

This category requires a UserName and Pasword for a registered Yacht Club. Admins can create, edit and run races on a fixed schedule. The app will record start and finish times and save them to the club database. Race results can be linked to the clubs website.
